kcalTamarind Vegetable Broth is a liquid food preparation, typically consisting of either water or an already flavored stock, in which bones, meat, fish, cereal grains, or vegetables have beensimmered.in sri lanka we used ” Thambun Hodi.” we use same method for my sri Lankan style vegetable broth.in here if any one want to try fresh chicken stock then don’t use the tamarind.
Ingredients
carrot diced
pumpkin diced
onion diced
some chopped garlic
some Cabbage
some Snack gourd
1 tsp butter
3 tsp tamarind
200 ml of vegetable Stock
chopped karapincha
salt
pepper
Directions
- diced all vegetables,keep a side, dilute tamarind in some water.
- add little butter in to the pan,add onion and garlic and curry leaves and saute for a while
- add other vegetables as well.fallow with tamarind juice,and add vegetable stock in to it….bring it to boil and simmer till vegetable get cooked
- still you are free to use the same method with out tamarind.i used this method according sri lanakan pallet.
